During the two-day gathering, members of the Tribunal and Chamber 2 members held their second official meeting alongside an expanded session with the Steering Committee, focusing on strategic coordination and procedural matters. The London-based meetings served as a crucial preparatory phase for the Tribunal’s ambitious roadmap toward justice and accountability.
A key outcome of the London meetings was finalizing arrangements for first public aseembly, scheduled for May 26-29, 2025, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. This milestone event will mark the Tribunal’s first public assembly, bringing together the Steering Committee, Chambers, Advisory Policy Council, and expert witnesses.

The Sarajevo assembly will feature public proceedings where participants will review investigative reports, hear testimonies from witnesses and experts, and discuss the Draft Declaration—a comprehensive document intended to serve as a reference for accountability and prevention of similar situations globally.
The Gaza Tribunal continues to position itself as a people’s tribunal addressing what it describes as gaps in international accountability systems, working to examine the situation in Gaza through historical, political, philosophical, and legal perspectives.

As the Tribunal progresses through its planned stages, it aims to fulfill its dual objectives: addressing immediate humanitarian concerns while working toward long-term accountability and prevention frameworks that could serve as models for addressing similar situations worldwide.
